Michael is a management consultant specializing in companies in transition: assisting start-ups in establishing the infrastructure needed to manage growth and supporting companies undergoing a turnaround. Engagements include interim management roles as Division President, Chief Operating Officer as well as specific project based assignments in business planning, operations reviews, product proof-of-concepts and outsourcing both to domestic and international subcontractors.
He was Chief Operating Officer of Ancora, a $110 million in gross revenues, 900-employee corporation, in the mail presorting industry. Michael has operational experience on both the buy and sell sides of M&A transactions. Prior to joining Ancora, he was President of Modular Devices, a manufacturer of custom power supplies and Iwerks Attractions and Technologies, a provider of large custom entertainment systems for the amusement park industry.
Michael has over 30 years of operational experience with such companies as AST Computers, Schlumberger, and Arthur Young. He holds a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
As Greenwood's COO, Tom oversees the company's manufacturing, product distribution, and fosters our connection to our customers and dealers. Tom was general manager of the Maxum boat brand, part of Brunswick Corporation, where he grew top line sales by 16% and margins by 20% in his first year alone. He also has extensive experience in dealer network development and management.
Earlier in his career, Tom worked for Valvoline Oil as a sales manager. His common sense approach to business and passion for the Northwest lifestyle are ideal addition to the Greenwood management team.
Tom graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in business.
