Tom Eckmann

Chairman and Founder

Tom is the co-founder of Greenwood Technologies, a natural extension of his passion for new technologies and entrepreneurialism. Tom started Greenwood in 2005 to help advance the next generation of biomass central heating systems for their environmental and cost-saving benefits.

Tom has more than 30 years experience with startup, early-stage and growth companies. His business experience spans multiple career tracks — management consultant, business executive, entrepreneur, teacher and author. As a consultant, Tom worked with three leading management-consulting firms: A.T. Kearney (ATK), Arthur D. Little (ADL), and Pittiglio Rabin Todd & McGrath (an affiliate of KPMG Peat Marwick). As an executive, Tom was Vice President of Operations for Anova Electronics, the consumer electronics division of Dart & Kraft and later Vice President of Operations for Digital Systems International (now a division of Lucent). Tom is a serial entrepreneur with two successful software companies and a business service outsourcing firm to his credit. 

Tom is author of An Interpreneur’s Journey: The Birth of a “New Economy” Business, which tells the story of a typical start-up and provides a how-to guide for new entrepreneurs. Tom is also on faculty at the University of Washington, Michael G. Foster School of Business, where he teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in innovation and entrepreneurship.

Tom earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering degrees in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research at the University of California in Berkeley.

Governor Gregoire recently invited Tom to join Washington State’s Climate Action Team. This group is chartered with developing programs and incentives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and building the “green economy” in Washington and Northwest.

 

Michael Dulion

President

Michael is a management consultant specializing in companies in transition: assisting start-ups in establishing the infrastructure needed to manage growth and supporting companies undergoing a turnaround. Engagements include interim management roles as Division President, Chief Operating Officer as well as specific project based assignments in business planning, operations reviews, product proof-of-concepts and outsourcing both to domestic and international subcontractors.

He was Chief Operating Officer of Ancora, a $110 million in gross revenues, 900-employee corporation, in the mail presorting industry. Michael has operational experience on both the buy and sell sides of M&A transactions. Prior to joining Ancora, he was President of Modular Devices, a manufacturer of custom power supplies and Iwerks Attractions and Technologies, a provider of large custom entertainment systems for the amusement park industry.

Michael has over 30 years of operational experience with such companies as AST Computers, Schlumberger, and Arthur Young. He holds a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

 

Sudhir Aggarwal

Partner, Copia Associates

Prior to Copia, Mr. Aggarwal was a Managing Director of Alvarez and Marsal, a nationwide management consulting firm. In that capacity, he was CEO of Ancora, a mail presort company with $110 million in gross revenues. He led the turnaround, growth, and ultimately the sale of Ancora to Pitney Bowes in 2004.

Sudhir also served as CEO of National Pen Corporation, a $100 million manufacturer and marketer of promotional products; In addition, He was also CFO of Beaver Creek Holdings, a private investment fund of Alvarez and Marsal.

Previously, Sudhir was Senior VP and Manager of the Restructuring Finance Group at Bank of America. Prior, he was a Managing Director in the National Banking-Asset Recovery Group at Bank of Boston, handling the workout of a number of multi-lender, problem LBO loans and several equity positions.

Sudhir has served on the Board of Long Agribusiness and the Advisory Board of Exed LLC. He received his B.A. from Dartmouth College and his MBA from Stanford University.

His passion for public education reform efforts includes deep involvement in the LEARN initiative in Los Angeles, as well as California's charter school movement. He is also currently a member of the Board of Directors of Unity Charter High School.
